Kenneth D. Running, Director of CJADC2 Programs at SAIC, spearheads initiatives of national significance, including the U.S. Air Force’s ABMS Cloud Based Command and Control program and the Joint Fires Network. With a robust background in advanced warfighting architectures, C5ISRT, ballistic and hypersonic missile defense systems, and C2 data-sharing frameworks, Kenneth is instrumental in guiding complex technical developments that shape the future of defense.
Since joining SAIC in 2007, Kenneth has held pivotal roles across aerospace engineering, and modeling and simulation domains. He has successfully led multidisciplinary teams, driving the execution of autonomous systems, radar management, technical analyses on IAMD systems, rules of engagement, and countermeasure development, ensuring our defense systems stay ahead in the rapidly evolving threat landscape. His expertise is recognized in publications such as the IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control.
Mr. Running double majored at North Carolina State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in both applied mathematics and aerospace engineering, and a master’s degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Maryland-College Park.
